The Times of Climate Change

Connecting the dots between climate and life

What are we doing here?

The Times of Climate Change is an effort that connects climate and environment to your daily life in India — your food prices, your commute, your water, your health.

But we understand that we live in an age of information overwhelm, so we are keeping it light. We bring you 1 puzzle every day and a few news stories every week.

No jargon, no 1000 word essays. Just clear, and crisp sense-making on what's happening and why it matters to you.

Who is behind this?

I am Sailee and I spend a lot of time thinking about 'How do we talk about climate change'. I currently lead the Ecosystem Messaging thesis at Rainmatter foundation. In my previous life I used to be a consultant and Fintech champion. You can find more of my writing on my Substack Sunny Climate Stormy Climate.

Why do I do this?

I believe the climate crisis is here. It's happening right now. To all of us. Right where we are. And human beings as a whole are acting like the dumbest intelligent species to have existed.

I also believe that all humans (or at least most of them) want to do good things. And so if they are armed with the right information in forms that they can make sense of, they will be empowered to make better decisions. And that's the only hope I have of getting us to a better future.

So that's what I am trying to do here.

Yes, I am a hopeless optimist.
